Andersen Apps (“we”, “us” or “our”) develops and operates mobile apps and related websites, including Badeguiden.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect information when you use our apps, websites and services.

1. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. The information we collect depends on how you use our apps and services.

App usage and analytics

Some of our apps, including Badeguiden, may use Firebase Analytics to help us understand how the app is used and how we can improve it.

This may include anonymous or non-personal usage information such as:

  • App opens
  • Screen views
  • Feature interactions
  • App version
  • Device type
  • Operating system version
  • General usage patterns
  • App/device identifiers used for analytics

For example, in Badeguiden we may track events such as whether onboarding is completed, whether a beach detail page is opened, whether a favorite is added, whether the map is used, or whether a feedback button is tapped.

We use this information to improve the app, fix problems, understand which features are useful, and prioritize future updates.

We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect names, email addresses, exact GPS coordinates, search text, feedback message content, photos or other user-generated content.

Location data

Badeguiden may ask for access to your location to show bathing spots near you and sort results by distance.

Your location is used to provide app functionality, such as showing nearby beaches. We do not use Firebase Analytics to store exact GPS coordinates.

You can use the app without granting location access, but some nearby and distance-based features may be less accurate.

You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings.

Feedback and contact

If you contact us by email, send feedback, report an issue, or suggest a new bathing spot, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as:

  • Your email address
  • Your message
  • Suggested location or beach information
  • Any other information you choose to include

We use this information only to respond to you, improve our apps, fix errors, or evaluate suggested content.

Website data

When you visit our website, basic technical information may be processed by our hosting provider or website tools, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device information
  • Pages visited
  • Date and time of visit

This information is used for website operation, security, analytics and improvement.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and improve our apps and services
  • Understand how our apps are used
  • Fix bugs and improve reliability
  • Improve app content, features and design
  • Respond to feedback or support requests
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations if required

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services

We may use trusted third-party services to operate, analyze and improve our apps and websites.

These may include:

  • Firebase by Google, including Firebase Analytics
  • Apple services, including App Store and iOS system services
  • Website hosting and analytics providers

These services may process limited technical or usage data on our behalf.

Third-party services process data according to their own privacy policies and applicable data protection rules.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data.

We may share limited information only when necessary to:

  • Operate our apps and services through trusted service providers
  • Analyze app performance and usage
  • Respond to support or feedback requests
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect our rights, users, apps or services

5. Data retention

We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Analytics data may be retained by our analytics provider according to their retention settings and policies.

Feedback or support emails may be kept as long as needed to respond, improve the app, document issues, or maintain service quality.

6. Children’s privacy

Our apps are not intended to collect personal information from children.

Badeguiden may be used by families, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it if necessary.

7. Your choices

You can control certain data use through your device settings.

For Badeguiden, you can:

  • Allow or deny location access
  • Change location permissions in iOS Settings
  • Choose whether to contact us or send feedback
  • Choose what information you include in feedback or suggestions

If analytics controls are available inside the app, you can use them to manage analytics preferences.

You may also contact us if you have questions about your data or want to request deletion of information you have sent to us.

8. International processing

Some third-party services we use may process data outside your country of residence.

When data is processed internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by our service providers and applicable data protection laws.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps or services after changes means the updated policy applies.

11. Contact

Rytme: Calendar & Planner

Rytme is a calendar and daily planning app from Andersen Apps. Rytme does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Calendar, reminders and habits

With your permission, Rytme reads and updates the calendars and Reminders lists you select through Apple’s EventKit framework. Your calendar provider, such as iCloud, Google or Microsoft, may sync those items under its own terms and privacy policy. Rytme does not send your calendar, reminder text, habits, planning text or energy estimates to Andersen Apps servers. Habits, preferences, completion history and widget snapshots are stored on your device, including a shared app container used by Rytme and its widgets. Normal device backups may include app data.

Apple Health and energy estimates

Health access is optional and read-only. With your permission, Rytme reads relevant sleep, heart-rate variability and resting-heart-rate samples to personalize estimated energy windows. Health and energy calculations happen on your iPhone. Rytme does not upload Health data to Andersen Apps, MET Norway or an AI service, use it for advertising, sell it, or write it back to Apple Health. Energy estimates are for everyday planning, not medical diagnosis or treatment. You can revoke Health access in Apple’s Health or Settings apps.

Planning and Apple Intelligence

Planning is performed on your device. On supported devices, Rytme may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models to interpret planning text. A rule-based parser works without Apple Intelligence. Planning text is not sent to a developer-operated AI server.

Location, weather and network logs

Location permission is optional. Location is used for daylight calculations, place names and weather. Before a weather request leaves your device, Rytme rounds coordinates to two decimal places, approximately a kilometre of latitude. Forecasts come directly from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway). MET Norway states that its access logs retain the requesting IP address and the coordinates in the request in its data center in Oslo, Norway. These requests support forecast delivery and service operation; Rytme does not use them for advertising or tracking. Without a location fix, a Norwegian regional fallback may be used. Apple handles reverse-geocoding requests under Apple’s privacy practices. Weather can be turned off in Rytme’s settings; location permission can be changed in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Apple processes payments, subscriptions, refunds and Family Sharing. Rytme uses Apple’s signed StoreKit transactions to determine whether Plus features are available and saves an access flag for its widgets. Andersen Apps does not receive your payment card details. Subscriptions can be managed or canceled in your Apple Account settings.

Notifications and deletion

If permitted, local notifications provide reminders and transition alerts. Rytme does not run a developer push-notification server. Deleting the app removes its local app data, subject to normal Apple backup and shared-container behavior. Calendar events and reminders already saved to your calendar accounts remain there until you delete them in Rytme or the respective calendar/reminder app. Revoking permissions stops future access. Deleting Rytme does not cancel a subscription; cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account.
